How Lincoln BlueCruise Works
Using Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, Lincoln BlueCruise allows New Jersey Lincoln drivers to take their hands off the steering wheel while the system accelerates, brakes, and steers the vehicle in the lane. The innovative system empowers drivers to experience the ultimate convenience and safety by using a driver-facing camera to ensure the driver is paying attention to the roadway when the system continues to provide support. When BlueCruise is activated, a mode indicator in the model's display cluster shows a graphic of a steering wheel with the text "Hands Free" when it's safe to remove your hands from the steering wheel. It also indicates when you need to put your hands back on the steering wheel to regain control. The technology of Adaptive Cruise Control helps your car to stay at a reasonable pace on the road while keeping a safe distance from the vehicles in front of you, and the Lane Centering assists in keeping your Lincoln on a set path without veering out of its lane. With the assistance of Speed Sign Recognition tech, BlueCruise keeps your Lincoln at an appropriate speed while traveling New Jersey and New York Blue Zone
How to Use Lincoln BlueCruise
When you embark on a road trip or even your daily commute, you may find yourself able to sit back and relax while BlueCruise takes control. Lincoln BlueCruise is available on over 130,000 miles of North American roadways across the US and Canada, including some New Jersey highways. These stretches of divided roadways are pre-mapped and qualified as automated driving zones called Hands-Free Blue Zones. If you enter a Hands-Free Blue Zone while driving your BlueCruise-equipped Lincoln, you'll get an alert on your instrument cluster that notifies you that BlueCruise is now available. You simply need to activate the feature on your touchscreen, relax, and watch as your Lincoln takes over the drive.
